June 2009 Blog Stat

What a month June turned out to be. For a third time in a row I set a new record for the number of visits. Difference is this time I also broke the number of hits. Nearly 4000! That’s about a 900 hit increase! Which pushes me over the 40,000 total blog hits too. I tried my hardest to post more often and thanx to my step-mom and a temporarily new internet connection, I managed to get a lot of pics and videos up. Traffic from referring sites (ie Mudvillegazette, Thunderrun, and odd ball Miss-Porcupine) continue to gain for where my readers come from. As usual Alltunes maintains top post but it is still decline.

Graph of my blog stats as of June 2009. June had 3,996 views.

May 2009 Blog Stat

Updated: 1 July 2009

Another month gone, another stat update. This month saw basically the same numbers as last month. So not much to report. A new record was set in the number of visitors and unique visitors however the number of pageviews stays unchallenged. I’m noticing a significant change on where my readers are coming from. Good portion comes from 3 referring sites Mudvillegazette, Milblogging, and Militaryspot. Alltunes traffic continues to slow while my Army traffic is increasing. Together they make up the majority of my visitors.
Total blog hits: 36,749.

April 09 Blog Stat

Wow! So its been…8 months since I last did this!!! Playing catch up on my records page took a bit but I’ve learned one thing. The number of records I break each month is slowing down. Perhaps I’m starting to finally plateau? I’m over 33,000 views so far! At my current growth I should reach 50,000 in 5 more months. Alltunes maintains king status of all my traffic. Despite it being out of date, I am still receiving comments. All my military posts have collectively brought a steady stream of hits that equals the Alltunes traffic. April received 3,118 hits. Visit my records page for more info.

April 2009 Monthly Stat View

For shits and giggles, I showed the last records table I did back in August 08. As you can see alot of my numbers increased. The only record set this month was the number of visitors: 2,032. Oddly this didn’t mean my pageview record was beat. Still maintaining number one viewed page is Alltunes. My Marvel Super Hero came as a surprise and no its not from spam. For some reason that page was returning top result in Google. All my Iraq posts are very close but the Farewell to 2nd Platoon Paladins came out on top.

Total blog hits: 33,564.

August Blog Stats

Nothing like delivering last months stats half way through this month. Better late then never I suppose. August has once again set new records. In fact its exactly like last month but a little more of everything. I finally hit and surpassed 10,000 hits, hooray! Next mile marker 100,000. I’m predominately being swamp by two things. Alltunes and Porn. Haha. This month sets the new record for most hits in a month: 2,197.

Just about everything increased. New records includes number of visitors and page views both unique and in total. The United Kingdom continues to hold third. My German traffic is growing big as well. Most come because of Alltunes. I’ve had a lot of hits from people searching “Alltunes” and combinations of “Swinger”, “Poop”, and “Tube”. My blog continues to return as the 2nd result for “Alltunes”. I’m also the number one result with “Swinger Poop”. Go figure. In light of all this AllTunes traffic, I really need to finish that review of the alternative sites. About halfway there.

Total blog hits: 10,765.

Overhauled

Updated: 11 September 2008

A couple weeks ago, I decided to revamp my entire blog in preparation for my deployment. I’ll admit, I’ve been very lazy over the past couple months when its come to my blog. Hell I’ve been lazy in most everything because I know I’m up for a year of hard work with the Army. With time finally winding down, I’ve kicked myself into gear.

First change has been the automatic emailing system. Now anyone who registers with my site will receive an email notifying them of a new Army post. I figured many people are yet to utilize RSS and this provides a nice alternative. It also eases my life. I had a mass emailing list that I would always manually send out. Now everything is handled automatically.

Next big change has been my theme. It took many hours of searching until I found something I liked. Since my focus is changing to Army, I wanted a more legit looking design. My old green Cordobo had flare but with a name like Sour Swinger, I’d need to work at making myself seem more professional. Of course, the theme wasn’t perfect and required a lot of manual tweaking. Theme design was simpler then I thought. Perhaps at the end of my tour, I’ll create one from the ground up. Most notable custom change has been a dynamic post footer. All Army posts will include a ‘Register with the site” link. Ones involving video will include links to my YouTube and Vimeo accounts. All other Army posts will include links to my pictures.

I’ve added a few more plugins. DiggZ adds a digg icon at the beginning of all my posts. I’ve finally added SEO and also added a global translator. Probably will attract more foreign traffic once I officially blog from Iraq. To further help traffic that doesn’t utilize RSS, I’ve included a plugin that enables email notifications of follow up comments to posts. I also found a plugin that automatically updates wordpress. Already used it once and boy does it make the process easier.

Which brings up the last change. I updated my blog to 2.6.2. Haven’t notice any real change, though I notice that FREAKING LOGIN BUG STILL EXISTS!

Blog Updated To Wordpress 2.6.1

Updated: 25 August 2008

I actually did this a week ago but wanted to wait and see what changes I noticed. None. Wordpress stated they will begin doing more incremental updates for minor bugs. So its not totally necessary to make the updates. With 2.6 came an annoying bug where your login information is not stored and/or access correctly when selecting “remember me”. So every time I load the admin page, I have to enter my username and password. Unfortunately 2.6.1 did not fix this and I must continue to wait.

July Blog Stats

July has been quite eventful.  With all my Army posts combined with the surprise AllTunes post, I set a lot of new records.  I haven’t seen a jump this big since February.  If I’m lucky, I’ll pass the 10,000 mark at the end of August.  Otherwise I’ll definitely surpass it in September.  This month sets the new record for most hits in a month: 1,942.

California still maintains number two spot while the United Kingdom takes third.  This is the first time a country takes a top spot for visitor locations.  As such, I now consider my blog international.  I finally had a post, AllTunes, receive more hits then the main blog page.  For most the month of July, I maintained the number 2 result when googling “AllTunes”.  Also, the number of visitors per day nearly doubled.

Total blog hits: 8,814.
