Military
Assigned to D 1/112th INF of the PA Army Guard. Have put in 8 years of service and have 4 to go. Proud to say I’m Infantry and am currently on deployment. My unit is an anti-tank stryker Company. This means I get some of the best shit the military can offer. Hoorah! My current position is a dismounted fire team leader. Looking forward to eventually going to BNCOC.

Personal
I’m a pretty good mix of a geek and a jock. I’m part of the Pitt Geeks club and appropriately do lots of geeky things and have lots of geeky conversations. However, I’m very active and take pride in working out. I used to race with University Of Pittsburgh’s cycling team, PCC. Slow on the road races, average on the circuits, and fast on the criteriums (relatively of course). Trying to get my college degree in Computer Science done, though I seem to always run into delays such as military obligations. Am currently a junior and expect to graduate in 2011. Oddly enough I started back in 2001.

Sour Swinger
The name itself is actually an aggregate of two nicknames I earned many years ago in the military. The exact reasons behind which, have long been lost. Even the person(s) who started it are unknown to me. Perhaps its because my last name doesn’t really rhyme with much and those two names sorta sound close? Perhaps it was just a silly joke that stuck? Perhaps it was for irony because I’m the exact opposite of a swinger. Since that time, the nicknames have died off and am hardly referred to it any more. In fact, I’ve received a new nickname during this deployment…The Atheist. :)

I first began using Sour Swinger for online games. The first game being Counter Strike: Source. From there I started using SourSW for login names for those games. Soon those login names spread to other misc internet logins. Its always easier having one set handle for all internet purposes so before I knew it, SourSW and Sour Swinger became my internet name for everything I did. If I was gonna leave internet tracks, it would be with a fictitious name, not my real name.
