Well it looks like this month has seen the most postings ever. Yes I admit, I’m not one to blog a lot. Time constraints is a big key problem there. I just purchased my first pistol, a Ruger P97, and figured it’d be a good thing to blog before this month is up. Though its 4 years old, it’s only seen about 400 rounds. I hear 600-1000 are needed to fully break it in. Bought it from a long time buddy in the Army. I also bought a holster for my thy which looks totally cool. I’ve already started to fill out a permit to conceal carry. Hopefully that process won’t take too long. Unfortunately I won’t be able to fire off some rounds till next weekend.

Well the Geek Club finally decided to start doing a Podcast once a month and I was able to participate. None of us ever did anything like it before and so was a quite the learning experience. I must say, Apple is awesome. We used the Garage band software and it made the whole process incredibly simple. Initially we didn’t know what to debate about, but finally decided to go with gaming. Next thing ya know, we have 20 minutes of us talking back and forth about it. So it’s a bit long however I feel we did a good job for our first time. The header is a direct download link for the first podcast. Check out Pitt Geeks homepage for the posting about it. You can also subscribe to the podcast here.

Well I’ve went a head and started working on a Perl page. Since I’m just starting to learn the language in my Web Applications class, I figured it a good idea to post my programming projects with commentary as I complete them. Perhaps someone may find them useful. As time allows, I’ll start loading up my old C code from my System Software’s class. Clicking the header will take you to my Perl Main page.

Well schools back in full swing and my schedule has been packed. Usually I rack up a good 15-20 hrs of gaming a week but now its slashed to about 2-4. Last night I got ahead in my school work and managed to play some Sims 2 for about 5 hrs! Felt good to finally unwind. Spent a good deal of time getting back into the programming scene as well. Once again, the Geek Club has decided to do a 24 hr coding competition next semester and I’m gonna prepare early. Since I seemed to make an impression by using QBasic last time, I’m gonna stick with the theme. Which means, I really need to get that sprite editor in order. I scratched all my previous work and started over. Managed to find an easier mouse routine using assembly calls to fix the problems I originally was running into. I also found a cleaner version of QB that wasn’t having these instability problems from some German website. I went ahead and posted the files for download from my website. Clicking the header will take you to the download page. QB 7.1 w/the qb.qlb library from 4.5 and QB1.1 are both available. Enjoy!

Update: Sprite Editor Released.
